HyperWhisper gives you the option to bring your own API Keys.
Your keys are stored locally on your device and only used when making requests to the API endpoints. For example, if you use an OpenAI API key then it is passed only to OpenAI. They are never sent anywhere else.

Here is how you get different API keys

ElevenLabs
When creating your ElevenLabs API key, make sure to enable the following permissions:
- Speech to Text — required for Scribe transcription
- Models — required for model availability checks
Without these permissions, transcription will fail even if your API key is valid.
Do not set a credit limit on your API key. Setting the credit limit to 0 will block all requests, even if you have credits available on your account. Leave the credit limit field empty to allow normal usage.
